Summer Pick Up Games Grades 3-5

 Happy Summer Everyone!

We are pleased to offer an opportunity for our players to continue to practice together over the summer.

You can register by going to our web site, clicking online registration and selecting the option for Summer 2009 Pick-Up Games Grades 3-5.

Right now, we are requiring that a parent/guardian be present, but during the registration process, there will be an opportunity to volunteer to supervise a session.  If we get enough volunteers, then you can drop the kids off.  We will let you know before the first session.


Who:        Girls and Boys entering 3rd through 5th Grade

What:        Pick-Up Games

Where:     Varsity Turf Field 

When:      Wednesdays from 6PM-8PM
                  July 15, 22, 29  August 5, 12

Fee:            FREE!!

Bring:        Drinks, ball, shin guards, appropriate footwear (turf shoes, cleats or sneakers are fine)

Rec League Fathers vs Coaches Game

John Sullivan, on behalf of the fathers of the Weston Soccer Club's Rec players, challenged the Soccer Extreme coaches to a match, and they accepted.  The game was played Sunday at 3pm at the turf field across from Stadium Field.  The coaches "edged" out the Fathers by about 8-1 (or maybe it was 25-1, but who was counting?).  But the Fathers had a strong 2nd half after they doubled their team (playing roughly 16 players to the coaches' 11) and exchanged goalies with Soccer Extreme.  The Fathers played very well, impressed the families in the stands, and all managed to walk off the field at the end.  The Soccer Extreme coaches were beyond impressive, with surgically precise passing, kid-pleasing corner kick goals and a very generous spirit to come and spend their afternoon with our dads/husbands.  It was a lot of fun to watch; the kids were riveted, and their smiles were only outshone by those on the faces of the dads.

Congratulations to Team Power!

Congratulations to Team Power, our 3rd grade girls Rec Plus team, who completed an undefeated season on Saturday.  The team was led by  professional coaches Ernest Bego and Flavio Machado from Soccer Extreme, parent coaches Denis Toner and Kevin Russell, and manager Candace DeBarger. The photo above includes the lineup for the final game, but our congratulations go out to all of the girls on the team - great work, girls!

Rec Program Ends Season!

The Rec Program ended its season with great play and lots of smiles (not to mention trophies and ice cream).  Many thanks to all the volunteers that helped make this a great Spring season!

Rec Plus Registration Now Open Through 8/15/09

Registration is now open for the RecPlus programs at Weston Soccer Club.  Please use the tabs above to learn more about the separate programs for Grades 3 and Grades 4-8. Registrations after 8/1/09 will incur a late fee and registration closes on 8/15/09.

Fall Registration open for incoming Tots through Grade 2!

 Fall Registration is open for Tots through Grade 2.  REMEMBER, these are referring to the grades the players will be entering in September 09.  NOT CURRENT GRADES!

Current 2nd graders should register for Grade 3 RecPlus.  While the children will now play against other towns, like a travel team, all players that register will make a team.  There are no try outs or cuts.

Registration will be open until August 15, but a late fee will be added beginning August 1.

The sooner you register, the smoother the season will run.  There is a lot of behind the scenes work to be done.  Please sign up as soon as possible.

If you are interested in taking on a larger role within the Club, please let me know.  We have lots of opportunities available.
