The Weston Soccer Club, Inc. is a private, nonprofit organization managed by volunteers. The Club delivers quality age and skill-appropriate soccer programs to boys and girls grades Pre-K through 12 and adults in Weston, Connecticut.
Kindergarten (Grade 0): designed for children in Kindergarten during the soccer season which runs Fall to Spring
Girls and Boys are separated for Kindergarten soccer.
THIS IS NOT A DROP-OFF PROGRAM. A parent, or guardian who is at least 18 years old, must remain at the field.
WHEN:
2 seasons: Fall and Spring
Eight (8) 60-minute sessions on Saturday mornings, 9:30-10:30am
WHERE:
Morehouse Farm Park on Field Area #1 and #2. More specific field locations will be sent by email before the season starts and/or posted each week at the Morehouse shed. Entrance to park is located on Rt 53 just across from Valley Forge Road
FOCUS:
Focus on introducing the game of soccer on small-sided fields, developing motor skills through very basic soccer handling drills and building self-esteem and social skills
Includes drills and games without goalkeepers, under the supervision of professional coaches
Organized on a team basis where parent volunteers will assist the professional coaches each week.
REGISTRATION:
Registration is online only and is a 2-step process: Registration and Payment
Both steps must be completed for your child to be placed on a team.
UNIFORM AND EQUIPMENT:
Weston Soccer Club reversible jerseys are worn during all Saturday sessions
Jerseys are ordered during the registration process and picked up at the registration table during the first session.
Players must wear shin guards, bring #3 ball (labeled clearly with player's name on it) and water.
Cleats are mandatory at this age.
Players must remove all jewelry including watches, necklaces and bracelets
VOLUNTEERS:
Since the Rec program is run entirely by volunteers, it is mandatory that at least one parent or adult guardian volunteer for a duty; this is done on the registration form
