The Weston Soccer Club, Inc. is a private, nonprofit organization managed by volunteers. The Club delivers quality age and skill-appropriate soccer programs to boys and girls grades Pre-K through 12 and adults in Weston, Connecticut.
THIS IS NOT A DROP-OFF PROGRAM. A parent, or guardian who is at least 18 years old, must remain at the field.
WHEN:
2 seasons: Fall and Spring (separate registration)
Eight (8) sessions on Saturday mornings. There are two time choices: 9:30-10:30am , or 11-12pm
WHERE:
Morehouse Farm Park on Field Area #1 and #2. More specific field locations will be posted online and by email before the season starts. Entrance to Morehouse Farm Park (MFP) is located on Rt 53 just across from Valley Forge Road.
FOCUS:
Focus on introducing the game of soccer on small-sided fields, developing motor skill through very basic soccer handling drills and building self-esteem and social skills
Includes drills and games
Professional coaches are there to work with the players that remain on the field. At this age, many kids lose focus and start to wander off the playing area. It is the parents' responsibility to keep the kids on the field, not the coaches. Therefore, we ask that a parent or designated guardian be with each player every week.
REGISTRATION:
Registration is online only and is a 2-step process: Registration and Payment
Both steps must be completed for your child to be registered.
UNIFORM AND EQUIPMENT:
Players must wear shin guards, bring #3 ball (labeled clearly with player's name on it) and water.
Weston Soccer Club reversible jerseys are worn during all sessions
Jerseys are ordered during the registration process and can be picked up at the first session
Cleats or sneakers required
Players must remove all jewelry including watches, necklaces and bracelets
VOLUNTEERS:
With the exception of our professional coaches, the Club is run entirely by volunteers. Although it is Club policy that at least one parent or adult guardian volunteer in some capacity during the season, this requirement is voluntary at the Tots level.
